Controller Sharing with the ESP-BAT-BT: Synchronizing Offline Changes from the Field

You can make changes to a controller in the Rain Bird 2.0 App even when you are not within Bluetooth range. The app will save the changes until they can be synchronized with the controller.

When you’re ready, share the controller with the person who will be on site. What happens next depends on whether they already have the controller in their app:

New controller for that user: The controller and your changes are added to their app. When they connect to the controller via Bluetooth, the changes are synchronized to the controller.

Controller already in their app: The app recognizes that changes have been made and asks them to accept the updates. Once accepted, the changes are ready to synchronize to the controller when they connect via Bluetooth.

This allows one person to prepare programming changes remotely and have someone else apply them in the field, without needing to recreate the changes on site.
